The TMA Group Named One of the Best Workplaces for Commuters
We are proud and happy to announce that The TMA Group has been named one of the Best Workplaces for Commuters in 2020.
The TMA Group was given the honor for being among the 450 forward-thinking businesses nationwide who offer exceptional employer-provided commuter benefits that meet the National Standard of Excellence criteria.
“Employers like The TMA Group are on the cutting edge of a national movement in changing how America commutes,” said Julie Bond, senior research associate, Best Workplaces for Commuters. “They have listened to employees’ challenges with traffic congestion and their concerns over reducing emissions.”
TMA offers a range of commuter benefits such as flex scheduling, operating VanStar, the regional commuter vanpool program in Middle Tennessee with access to Emergency Ride Home benefits, and working with area employers in implementing cost-effective TDM (Transportation Demand Management) best practices and sustainable strategies.
“We are proud to make this commitment to our own employees as well as to employees and employers throughout our region,” said Debbie Henry, TMA Executive Director. “The 2021 Best Workplaces for Commuters program means an employer is standing behind its commitment to provide employees with access to progressive commuter programs.”
“We are honored to join other national and global companies such as Dell Technologies, Google, Harvard University, IBM, Mayo Clinic, Microsoft, NCR Corporation, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Stanford Research Park, Telsa, TranSystems, Verizon and Yale University,” she said.
The TMA Group, headquartered in Franklin, Tenn., operates and manages VanStar, the regional commuter vanpool service; Franklin’s public transit service on behalf of the Franklin Transit Authority; and CMUTER.com.
